Who can resist this ooey gooey cheesey with sauce! Makes a great substitute for pasta as a side dish.
- 8 ounces whole-milk mozzarella cut in 8 slices
- 2 egg whites beaten
- 1 1⁄3 cups finely grated Parmesan
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups marinara warmed
- Dip mozzarella in egg whites; coat with Parmesan. Freeze 20 minutes. In skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Cook cheese until golden, 2 minutes per side. Serve with marinara.
